Microsoft to announce new Games, Bundles and Accessories for Xbox on Gamescom 2018

According to Major Nelson, the presentation of the new upgrade of the Xbox console will be held during the show Inside Xbox. The company is unlikely to show a new console, but the appearance of the Xbox Elite Controller 2, which recently was on the Chinese portal Baidu, is expected. The new version will receive Bluetooth support for Windows 10, USB-C, three profiles for flip-flops, an increased stroke of blades, engineers improved analog sticks, and allows players to adjust the tension.

Microsoft has hinted at a quick announcement of new “bundles and accessories” associated with the Xbox console, as well as “an excellent line of games from developers around the world.” The novelties will be presented at the international computer games exhibition Gamescom, which will be held in Cologne from 21 to 25 August.

Microsoft’s presentation is scheduled for the opening day of the event. As Xbox Live Development Director Larry Grib, Major Nelson, wrote, at Gamescom we will announce “completely new” hardware and accessories for Xbox.

The chances that Microsoft will introduce the new Xbox are pretty small. At the E3 gaming exhibition held in June, company representatives confirmed that the next-generation device was being developed, but they refused to specify the release date. According to the media, the new Xbox (or even a whole line of consoles) will not be shown until 2020. The family of new devices is code-named Scarlett.

Gamescom will show the successor to the customized gamepad Xbox Elite. The new controller is provided with a USB-C port for charging, Bluetooth support for Windows 10, three-level buttons for Hair Trigger Locks, a deeper keystroke and the ability to switch between the three profiles.
