Project Judge Eyes Announced by the Yakuza Dev RGG Studio, Set For December 13 Release in Japan and 2019 In West

Yakuza developer Ryu Ga G0 Studios has just announced a new title named as Project Judge Eyes.


The developer has recently wrapped up the Yakuza series courteously with the last title Yakuza 6: Song of Life. According to the dev, they’ll now be continuing the work on the upcoming Project Judge Eyes. In addition, the developer has also revealed the release dates for Project Judge Eyes.

According to the RGG Studios, Project Judge Eyes is currently in works. The studio will be releasing its Japanese version Project Judge Eyes: Shinigami no Yuigon on December 13 this year. This version of the game will specifically be released for the Japanese regions. However, a west only version of Project Judge Eyes will release later in 2019. An exact release date for the western version of the game is yet to be announced.

According to the officials of Ruy Ga Gotoku Studios;

Sega is proud to announce that the new courtroom thriller from Ryu Ga Gotoku Studios, Project Judge (working title), will release in 2019 on the PlayStation 4. Project Judge will feature the voice acting talents of Japanese actor / artist Takuya Kimura as the game’s main protagonist, Takayuki Yagami.

Project Judge takes place in modern day Tokyo, following a serial murder case. The main protagonist, private detective Takayuki Yagami (played by Takuya Kimura), is a man of conviction who fights for his beliefs, despite the overwhelming despair surrounding him. Kimura has met extensively with the game’s development team to craft this protagonist, dedicating more than 1,000 minutes of voice recording time for his lines. By putting forth so much effort in developing this role, Project Judge aims to redefine what it means to truly bring a character to life.

All those fans who said goodbye to the thrilling Yakuza Series are in for a special treat as another one of the amazing games by the same developer is now announced.
