Fortnite Update Patch 6.02 Is Now Live, Adds Quad Launcher, Disco Domination, Loot Drop Rate Adjustments, and Various Performance Fixes

Fortnite Update

Fortnite latest update Patch 6.02 is now live on Xbox One, PC, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Smartphones, thanks to Epic Games. The new update introduces Quad Launcher, a Limited Time Mode Disco Domination, some performance fixes, and Loot Rate Adjustments. Various other items are also included in the new update.

One of the biggest items to drop with the latest patch 6.02 is the Limited Time Disco Domination mode. This particular mode is all centered around the idea of dancing and a powerful new weapon for the Fortnite Battle Royale. The “Save the World” also gets a new weapon too. The new Limited time mode disco domination was recently teased in Fortnite.

Additionally, in the Disco Domination players will now experience a King of the Hill type game-play in which players are divided into two separate teams of 32 players. In order to win, players will need to capture specific points. As this mode is all about dancing, players will have to capture the dance floors just like they would capture areas in king of the Hill play. Once they have captured a certain dance floor, they will have to dance on it to defend it against the enemies.

Another newly added item the Quad Launcher fires a total of four rockets quickly. Players will find it in Epic and Legendary variants. Full details about the new Quad launcher are offered in the full patch notes below. Check out the video of Quad Launcher in action below.

Additionally, the new update patch 6.02 for Fortnite also offers some of the crucial bug fixes along with several performance fixes as well. Various Art and Animation tweaks are also applied to Fortnite in the update 6.02. You’ll find the full details about the new update patch 6.02 below in the Patch notes.

Limited Time Mode: Disco Domination

Summary

It’s time for the ultimate dance-off. Dance Floors have spawned around the Battle Royale island. Take them over by clearing out any enemies and then dancing to raise a disco ball up from the floor. The team that fills their meter the fastest by capturing and defending the dance floors will win the match!

Mode Details:

  • Two teams of fifty players.
  • Respawning will be turned on until the third (last) storm circle.
  • Five dance floors will appear on the map whenever the storm is not moving.
  • Emoting on a dance floor when no enemies are present will raise a disco ball in the center of the floor, and capture it for your team.
  • The more friendly players dancing on a floor, the faster it will be captured.
  • Once a floor is captured, it will begin filling the team’s “dance bar” on the HUD, until either an enemy stands on it or the current storm timer ends and the storm begins to move. The first team to fill their dance bar to 100% will win the match.
  • The dance floors in the later stages of the match fill the bar more quickly, so don’t give up if your team is behind!
  • It is not possible to build on or over the dance floors, but they can be protected by surrounding them with a fort.
  • Glider redeploy is activated in this mode, press jump while falling to use your glider.
  • This mode uses 50v50 levels of loot and resources.
