Dragon Quest XI Update Version 1.01 Is Live Now, Offers Several PC and PS4 Bug Fixes, More Frame Rate Options and Pre-set Graphics Settings

Square Enix, the developer for Dragon Quest Xi has released a new Update Version 1.01 for the game. The new update offers several bug fixes for PS4 and PC. In addition, the update 1.01 offers more frame rate options than previously added to the game and more pre-set graphics settings.


According to the details released by Square Enix for the Dragon Quest XI update 1.01, the most common bug where the game crashes 300m away from players horse, has now been fixed. This particular bug was previously faced by both the PS4 and PC version players.

Additionally, the name Robert is now completely removed from the main character name selection list. Players will also now be able to properly send the log data to Dragon Quest Xi development team. This issue is now permanently resolved with the update 1.01. In addition, players will now be able to select between three pre-set graphics settings which are Low, Medium, and High. Moreover, the update 1.01 for Dragon Quest XI also fixes various text bugs as well. It will now also be possible to move the command selection cursor with the left stick or the WASD buttons on the keyboard. The game exit key is also now selectable.

Players will now have more frame rate selection options as well in Dragon Quest XI than before. The new frame rate options include 90fps, 120fps, and 144fps. The option to leave the frame rate unlocked is also now available in the game.

The new update version 1.01 for Dragon Quest XI offers some crucial bug fixes. Although, there is a lot more for PC players in the new update than PS4. Hopefully, Square Enix will release more updates for the game in near future. Check out the details for the update 1.01 below.

PlayStation 4

  1. We have identified a bug which can sometimes cause the game to crash when the player is 300m away from their horse on the field, this has been fixed.
  2. People’s names (such as “Robert”) have been removed from the list of prohibited words when selecting the main character’s name at the beginning of the game.
  3. Multiple text bugs have been fixed.

Steam

  1. We have identified a bug which can sometimes cause the game to crash when the player is 300m away from their horse on the field, this has been fixed.
  2. Players are now able to send log data to the Dragon Quest XI development team in cases where the game crashes.
    Players are able to choose between three (Low, Medium, High) pre-set graphic settings before launching the game (see below for details).

  5. It is now possible to move the command selection cursor using the left stick, and by extension WASD on keyboards, with very few exceptions in certain screens.
  6. It is now possible to select which key exits the game (by default this is set to Esc) and it is also possible to bind the Esc key to a different function.
  7. More frame rate options have been added; 90 fps, 120 fps, 144 fps as well as the option to leave the frame rate unlocked.
  8. Finally, we have seen a number of questions about the in-game language in the Steam version of Dragon Quest XI. It is possible to change the in-game language by changing the language setting of Steam itself.
